Job Rotation

Today I presented  a pilot program in the workplace; the concept is not new of job rotation. However,  I felt the need to share the concept with a Manager today. Using job rotation to boost  moral, retain and empower employees. Although still in the "infancy" stage. The manager was receptive to the idea. Now the work lies ahead. Creating  power point and creating a survey to see what the interest would be from other co-workers. Its a start, implementaion could take place in  2nd business quarter. Its something that could benefit the organization.  The key is to have total Management buy in for this job rotation to work, without their support, job rotation in our workplace cannot succeed.
If anyone has any input feel free to share.
Thanks

Blessings

I was just reflecting on the past week, tragedy in Haiti, the strength of the human spirit to survive when others give up and the importance of being a blessing to others around you. When you give of your time, heart and finances; the smallest blessings come your way at unexpected times. I have learned to give as I am able with no expectations of receiving back, and a new perspective opens up. The feeling you recieve inside, no one can put a price on.
Helping not just the people in Haiti, but the ones around you, so many people are in need. Try not to second guess what the homeless man will do with the loose change, just know that you gave to bless him and he can do with the change as he decides, in the end the individual is responsible for their actions not the giver.

Monopoly

When you playing the game of Monopoly at a more mature age. I realized what a great game about strategy, finance, patience, vision and banking. I played  the other day with a few Nine year olds and I had a teaching moment with those children. The ones who caught on quickly realized that they had to budget their  money and deal with the "set backs". Such as paying taxes and paying rent.
Monopoly is about life and playing the right cards at the right time.

create

I need to get the creative juices flowing, I feel if though I am standing still and that's not acceptable. I just have to take a step back and not get overwhelmed with all these technology sites: wordpress, fb, twitter, emurse and the list goes on. Good leaders know when to assess the situation, stategize and then begin to tackle each item one by one.  Once I learn how to use these more effeciently, it will all come together. Keep some; loose some...

Unsure

I actually am drawing a blank today. Not sure why? It started off great, church service was a continual reminder of the awesome God we serve. It was encouraging, to most of the people attending, you could feel it in the air how the message hit home for the attendees. The visiting Pastor spoke on building your life brick by brick, that there will be people in our life to discourage us along the way. However sorround yourself with like-minded people. When God has something for you in life, and you know its for you, thats when they way gets harder. You have to take things brick by brick to build up what is needed to endure.
When your facing financial despair, unemployment, relationship issues etc, just resolve the dillema brick by brick as you move in the process you will begin to gain strength and your foundation will become stronger, you will eventual see the fruits of your laborThe Relationship Principles of Jesus

Just for thought

As I was listening to ABC News Now, one of the speakers mentioned that "we are all in job seeking mode." That is so true, its important that each of us "sharpen are pencils", and keep track of the value that we add to the organization. The future is about results, what value do you add to the organization?
For those who are unemployed, job hunting is a job. Do not take it lightly. Take the time to track what you have been doing with your time, how have you organized your day, or volunteered in your communitity. I admit, I am not the most technology savvy, but I am trying and learning things everyday, about networking, creating projects and reading about how to do this thing to the best of my ability. My next venture in the upcoming weeks is figure out to use a blackberry.. LOL wish me well.

New Year

I must admit that today came in with praise and worship. I shed some tears, thinking of God's grace on me and my family. Tears were also shed, because I am excited about the future. Stepping further out on faith is so scary to me,  however you have to step out of your comfort zone if you want things to change.
Someone read Psalms 40 last night at church it touched my soul, vs 8 states: I desire to do your will, O my God;  your law is within my heart.".
Although as the day winds down, and its quiet in the house, I know that if  I keep the will of God in my heart, each day in 2010 is going to get better and better.
